The Lighter Side of Eastertide

I never got around to posting John Updike’s Seven Stanzas at Easter this year.  It’s an eloquent and easy way to make clear that I believe in the real, physical resurrection of Christ – not a spiritual or metaphorical resurrection, not Jesus living on in the memories of his followers.  No, real skin and bones and organs and corpuscles and all that stuff – first dead, then completely alive.  I’m old fashioned that way.

As I said, I didn’t fit “Seven Stanzas” in before Easter.  But I am going to pass on this less artistically meritorious but funnier video from the folks at The Lutheran Satire.  The fact that such a group exists shakes up my image of Lutherans a bit.  Are they ELCAMaybe Missouri Synod?  Surely not WELS!  (Dear Lutherans, I’m just kidding, now that I know you allow humor.)

I have only one negative comment to make about this video:  check your spelling, brother.
